DAY 9 – ONE-DAY Detox Stage of this challenge.

Today’s plan (Thursday):

Today has been what I’ve been preparing for the last 8 days for.  To conduct the ONE-DAY fast, I followed this four-step process.

STEP 1:  Prepare the “Miracle Juice” – which I made a batch up on Wednesday night (see recipe here).

STEP 2:  Upon rising and at the end of the day take 1 serving of a colon-caring supplement.  Either powdered psyllium husks, ground or milled flaxseeds, or Super-GI Cleanse capsule.  Morning – weigh yourself and take body measurements.  You will do this again the next morning to compare data.

STEP 3: Alternate drinking one cup (8 ounces) of filtered water and one cup (8 oz) of Miracle Juice during the day. 

STEP 4:  Engage only in light exercise.

THOUGHTS: I woke up this morning ready for my fast/detox.  Weighed myself – which was 179.5 pounds and 38 inch around the waist.  Then took the 1.5 teaspoon of powdered psyllium husks which is an added fiber to help scrub the colon clean.  That stuff tasted gross!!

Well, then on to my drinking schedule.  To keep me on track, I had a slip of paper magnetized to my refrig.  I wrote the hour and what I drank (water or juice).  Like 8:00 – water, 9:00 – juice, 10:00 – water, 11:00 – juice, etc.  This helped keep me on track of what beverage I was suppose to drink.  The Miracle Juice tasted all right.  I found that sipping the juice and water curved my hunger.

For exercise, I walked outside for awhile.  Nothing special.  Oh, and I had to drink another glass of psyllium husks. Gross again!!  But I guess that’s the price I have to pay.   Tomorrow morning, I get to weigh myself again and see how much toxin I had carrying around with me.  Hope it’s good news!!
